Mark your calendars. This weekend, October 4-6, 2019, Embodied Love will be airing a free online conference on bhakti. I’ll be presenting “Bhakti-shakti: The Role of the Feminine in Transcendence.”
Other presentations also look quite interesting.
The publishers are also offering additional resources. Check them out here.
See you there!

Oh, my. When I first published Wise-Love I thought I could get out a companion workbook in a month or so. That was a naive thought. After struggling a bit with the workbook myself, I sought help from my friend Tulsi Rani, who has a masters in education. She was impressed with Wise-Love and immediately volunteered to take up the task. We both knew that readers could benefit with help to unpack concepts. Tulsi Rani wrote the bulk of the course. I’m indebted to her for making this free gift possible for you.
Yogas are experiential paths. You can talk about them all day long, but until you experience the principles they teach it’s all theory. As theory they may sound nice, but what difference does it make for our lives? So the course focuses on giving an experience of bhakti to the reader.
As we worked on the workbook, it became evident that an eCourse was a better option. I spent some months researching learning management systems (LMS) to enable you to have a pleasant and intuitive online experience.
I’m especially happy with the final lesson, which is a meditation. What do you think of it? You can find it here.
May you’re learning journey be enriching. Please tell me about it when you get a chance.
Head over to the eCourse tab on this site, or click here.
With affection,

The Montaigne Medal is given “for the most thought-provoking books that illuminate, progress, or redirect thought.”
I’m so honored by this acknowledgement. When I read the email with the news I first smiled, then cried, and now I’m trying to take in the welcome news. I’m so grateful to the judges and the team at The Eric Hoffer Awards.
I remain in deep gratitude for acknowledging the work and thus giving it a chance to be seen by more people.

The live recordings I share below will give you a small sampling of kirtan in the musically rich tradition of bhakti.
In these recordings, oftentimes you can hear the hundreds of voices responding. These tempo of these kirtans generally start off slow and meditative and build speed and enthusiasm. Some of the tunes are easy to follow and sing along; others are challenging and will take a bit to learn. They are all beautiful. Click and listen away!
