Premises of the Philosophical Dialogue On this Blog

Here are some philosophical assumptions of the dialogue I engage in at Little Ways of Being(TM):

  1. consciousness is a symptom of spirit (not mind/matter)
  2. consciousness is a characteristic of our true Self
  3. thus consciousness and Self are spirit
  4. spirit is timeless (eternal), indestructible, unchangeable, and conscious (knowing)
  5. we are spiritual fragments, or energetic parts, of a larger spiritual whole
  6. since spirit is unchangeable and we are currently spiritual fragments, we remain eternally individual beings, not just a state of being
